Justice & Mercy is a non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to decreasing the effects of crime in our communities and increasing public safety. The goals are achieved by educating and informing the public at large, advocating cost-effective and practical reforms within the criminal justice system and by encouraging and supporting wise public policy. Our recidivism rate or the rate that offenders return to prison after release is 67% nationally resulting in overcrowded prison conditions. With overcrowded prisons, inmates do not get the treatment they require to live productive, law-abiding lives when released. We network with other organizations and encourage church and community outreach efforts by working to increase understanding of criminal justice issues.
