The John A. Coleman School is approved by the State of New York Department of Health and the New York State Department of Education to provide educational services to children with special needs.
The John A. Coleman School is a child-centered educational environment where the partnership between student, family and staff supports learning each day. Through loving attention and care, we celebrate and honor the individuality of every child, and respect and nurture the cultural and religious backgrounds of our students and families. Through content-based instruction, including multi-sensory adapted lessons based on New York State Learning Standards, our children have the opportunity to learn, explore, interact with the world around them, and to engage in creative arts and community activities.
