Description
The King's Kettle Food Pantry has been serving families in the Shippensburg area since March 1996. The King's Kettle Food Pantry is housed at Jesus Loves You Ministires, Inc.
The King's Kettle has a purpose and goal to supply food and other necessary items to families in need in our local area on a monthly basis(about 200 families per month) The size of the families range from one(1) to eleven(11) in number, a family of four(4) members would get about 16-18 bags of groceries. At Thanksgiving we also give out food baskets with items for families to be able to enjoy a holiday meal.(This is in addition to their monthly food supply) The King's Kettle operates on what comes in by way of food drives, monetary donation, etc. As the number of families in need increases it is our goal to continue to better serve them and supply them with an increase in the number of much needed food items. The staff at The King's Kettle is all voluntary (there is no paid staff).
