Description
The foundation was a last wish of Jessica L. Kurnocik who battled a rare form of Cancer called Synovial Cell Carcinoma. The foundation is focused on 3 goals: First and foremost is to help families financially during their child's fight against cancer so they can concentrate on what is most important. This financial assistance includes items such as medical and personal expenses, also we want to raise awareness of the need for early detection of pediatric cancers and in the future to provide research grants to qualified institutions searching or pediatric cancer cures. There is a great need for this type of assistance in Western Pennsylvania. There are other organizations serving the central and eastern part of Pennsylvania with these same missions and goals, but sadly Western Pennsylvania is also in need. We are determined to provide the same financial assistance for those children of Western Pennsylvania.
