Description

JUMP's mission is to empower merchants and residents to preserve and promote the Jefferson Street community. This nonprofit is dedicated to revitalizing historic Jefferson Street in Nashville, TN. From the 1940s through the early 1960s, Jefferson Street was one of America’s best-known districts of jazz, blues, and rhythm and blues. Jefferson Street is home to three prominent historically black colleges and universities: Fisk, Meharry, and Tennessee State University. JUMP is working to restore the glory to Jefferson Street through merchant advocacy, safety & beautification, economic and community development.
