Description

The Jefferson County Council on Aging (JCCOA) is a non-profit organization committed to providing a variety of services that impact the quality of life of elderly residents in Jefferson County, Alabama.

We currently operate the nationally-known Meals on Wheels program in Jefferson County.

We also have programs that provide free prescribed medications to qualifying seniors at no cost to the client.

We provide a variety of services that our clients can use that allows them to remain in their home rather than be transferred into a nursing home.

We also have a program that provides assistance in making sure our clients' financial matters are taken care of.

If someone needs nursing home care, we have staff that will monitor the quality of service that person is receiving to ensure a decent quality of life even in a nursing facility.
