Jefferson Center for Mental Health (Jefferson Center) has been the private 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit community mental health center serving Jefferson, Clear Creek and Gilpin counties. Jefferson Center’s mission is to promote mental health and provide quality mental health services to persons with emotional problems and/or serious mental illness. Jefferson Center was established in 1958 with three employees. Since that time, Jefferson Center has grown to a highly credentialed professional staff that provides services to more than 6,000 people each year. Jefferson Center predominantly serves clients that are on Medicaid, uninsured, underinsured, or low-income. Jefferson Center provides comprehensive mental health care and innovative programs to children and families, adolescents, adults, seniors, and individuals with serious mental illness.
