Description
The James C. Caldwell Community Center (JCCCC) has been in inner-city North Toledo since 1904. Its mission is to identify, evaluate, and respond to the needs of community residents. The center is a multi-service facility that offers needed programs for all ages, from preschool aged children to adults.
CALDWELL CENTER PROGRAMS:
--Domestic Violence Counseling & Advocacy (Individual & Group, Prevention)
--Expect Respect (teen program--violence prevention, promoting healthy relationships, healing from violence)
--Youth Opportunities Program, CYI (lifeskills program)
--Steps to Hope (GED Class, career/job training)
--Kids Café (afterschool program for kids including mentoring, tutoring, meals, transportation)
--Early Childhood Initiative (daycare and education program for preschool age kids meals, transportation).
--Backpack program (Backpacks with food are distributed weekly to eligible children who may not receive enough food at home).
