At JLB Green Meadows students explore, discover, and enjoy science, nature, and living in ways they never imagined could be a part of their education! Our mission is "Every Student a Success", our focus is on positive environmental education and social development. The Jack L. Boyd Outdoor School is part of the Merced County Office of Education and is a California Department of Education COSA certified Residential Outdoor Science School, where teachers bring their classes to live and learn for a week in our comfortable forested campus at the edge of Yosemite National Park California. Over 3,000 students participate in our program each year, and over 75% of our students come from families that qualify for reduced-price school meals. For many of our students this is not only their first time in a natural forest environment, it is their first time away from home. For all of our students this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime life changing experience!
