Description
The Iron Cross Foundation (ICF) is dedicated to helping young men of all socio-economic backgrounds participate in the sport of gymnastics by providing financial aid, social support, and educational resources. The Iron Cross Foundation is the brain child of Logan Melander—a 14 year old, Level 10 gymnast. At the age of 12, Logan suffered an injury that may have ended his gymnastics career. One of his concerns as he struggled with a long and uncertain recovery process was that if he never “made it” as a gymnast, he wouldn’t be able to give back to his sport.
With the encouragement and support of his family and friends, Logan chose to create this foundation instead of giving up his dreams. Rather than quit, he worked with the adults in his life to create the Iron Cross Foundation to ensure that all boys who want to pursue their dreams of being competitive gymnasts have the opportunity to do so.
