Description
A Non-Profit community agriculture center in Burlington VT. (www.intervale.org) That provides land, equipment, & training for under-privelaged kids to learn how to grow & market organic produce. Also composts 20,000 tons of food waste every year from local schools, hospitals, farms, and factories. There are also several other programs supporting the growth of organic agriculture. Food grown on the Intervale property makes up for 6% of the produce consumed in the city of Burlington.
