Description
The International Vasa Previa Foundation (IVPF) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit charity that exists to raise awareness about and eliminate infant death from the devasting condition vasa previa, which affects 1 in every 2,500 pregnancies. Vasa previa can be prenatally diagnosed and appropriate management saves virtually 100% of these infants from an almost certain and untimely death. However, awareness of the condition continues to be poor and there is currently no standard of care for either diagnosing or managing this heinous killer.
