Description
The International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (The Union) brings innovation, expertise, solutions and support to address health challenges in low- and middle-income populations around the world. The Union North America office manages international health projects and works to raise critically needed funds to support The Union's work. We also educate the American public about The Union's unique contributions to improving lung health among the world's poor, and forge partnerships with other organizations to reduce duplication of effort and boost coordination of support to those who need it most. Founded in 1920, The Union has its headquarters in Paris, and maintains nearly 10,000 members and subscribers from 145 countries. Its scientific departments focus on tuberculosis, HIV, lung health, tobacco control and research.
