ICS is a "hybrid" school that combines accredited private school programming with off-campus, at-home independent study. Parents are fully engaged in the academic process with their children, and are required to take "Family Education" classes that equip them to teach at home, to manage their home better, to strengthen their family, and to understand educational philosophy. Students are on campus two or three days each week, and at home the balance of the week, working from teacher-generated lesson plans. ICS is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and offers families "the best of both worlds" of home education and superior private schooling. ICS is a K-12 school in Orlando, Florida with 475 students.
