The International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) is a not for profit organization based in Houston. The organization focuses its activities on education, capacity building, dissemination of information, and by establishing links of cooperation among individuals, programs and institutions around the globe.

The Mission of IAHPC is to increase the availability and access to high quality hospice and palliative care for patients and families throughout the world.

The Board of IAHPC is composed of 21 leading experts in palliative care from 16 different countries.

The organization has developed and adopted cost effective programs which through technical assistance and funding, support the development of hospice and palliative care. It has also identified strategies proven to be effective in the implementation of hospice care to promote adequate pain relief, supportive and palliative care for all the patients in need.
