The International Alliance for Child Literacy (IACL) is a tax exempt 501(3)(c) non-profit charity that empowers children in Latin America and the Caribbean by establishing libraries and literacy centers at schools and orphanages. The IACL knows that literacy and education reduces poverty. Educating and empowering children is a powerful way to help children gain the skills and knowledge to take charge of their lives. The IACL helps create educational and economic opportunities for children in by increasing literacy rates and providing thousands of books and educational materials to communities that lack basic resources.
