Description

Interfaith Partnership/Faith Beyond Walls Metropolitan St. Louis works to promote peace, understanding and respect through education, celebration, social advocacy and community service. Our membership of 1,290 congregations represents 31faith traditions. 3,460 active interfaith volunteers work in distressed neighborhoods. Missouri Health Care for All lifts up 300,000 voices statewide advocating for health policy reform. 1,293 youth, 12-18 participate in our interfaith programs. For 20 years we have done this difficult work building bridges across difference. June 4, ‘09 President Obama's Cairo address spoke directly to our mission. He confirmed, "So long as our relationship is defined by our differences, we will empower those who sow hatred rather than peace...we can turn dialogue into interfaith service, so bridges between people lead to action...young people of every faith, in every country more than anyone, have the ability to remake this world. We are that opportunity.
