Description
A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the physically and mentally challenged in numberous counties in West Virginia by providing a myriad of programs and activities from a "Sheltered Workshop", aka the House of Wonder, to off-site employment in custodial services, lawn maintenance, stream access, and other work activities suitable for the target population.
The House of Wonder manufactures wood items such as crafts including picture frames and custom cabinets and countertops. The HOW also has a professional furniture refinishing and repair department.
IRI has been designated a community mental health center, and operates a community post office by contract with the US Postal Service in the unincorporated community of Maben.
