Description
Initiative for Affordable Housing, Inc., founded in 1990, is a private, non-profit agency located in DeKalb County, GA but serves homeless families from all around the Atlanta metropolitan area. Our mission is to provide permanent, affordable housing to homeless and low-income families and we are also committed to the provision of necessary supportive services to empower families to reach their personal goals and independence. Initiative owns and maintains 23 singel-family homes, as well as 4 apartment complexes with 355 rental untis. The agency also develops, constructs, and sells affordable housing to increase availability of affordable housing in metro Atlanta.
