Description
ITSJC provides developmental evaluations and ongoing therapy services to children birth to age three, who are not developing at the same rate as their peers, and/or experiencing a developmental disability. Currently over 960 children in Johnson County are receiving early intervention services including, but not limited to: assistive technology, audiology, occupational therapy, nutritional monitoring, physical therapy, psychological services, speech language therapy, and vision therapy. Twenty-five percent of children served reach their goals through therapy and no longer require services before their third birthday. All services are provided in the child’s natural environment, such as their home or day care center, are provided with no out of pocket expense to the families and there is no waiting list to receive services once a child is qualified.
