Description
Indianapolis City Ballet burst onto the Indianapolis arts scene in September 2009 with its Evening with the Stars, gala-style program. The audience was enthusiastic and immediately embraced the new ballet presence.
Created to add to the community, filling a void in the professional ballet scene and complementing the dance and arts institutions already in Indianapolis, Indianapolis City Ballet seeks to build a ballet program that embraces the best of classical ballet and strives to define its contemporary development. Built on a standard of excellence, ICB’s build-up with include the creation of a ballet company and presentations of major international companies.
A series of monthly master classes with some of the world’s most renowned teachers and artists has united a community of dance ion Indianapolis and provided unique and special opportunities for students and teachers alike. Video-taped question and answer sessions are featured online.
