IWF is a non-partisan, non-profit research and educational institution that educates women and society about issues affecting freedom, economic opportunity, and the rule of law. Our mission is to rebuild civil society by advancing free market ideals and promoting personal responsibility. IWF expands the public policy debate over what constitutes equality, justice, and liberty for women, and how best to bring that equality about. IWF is unique among national women’s organizations in that it embraces the belief that individualism and free markets contribute to women’s equality rather than to their oppression. IWF builds respect for limited government, equality under the law, property rights, free markets, strong families, and a powerful and effective national defense and foreign policy. IWF’s international programs provide a unique blend of research, education, public awareness, and international development programs that support the advancement of women’s rights worldwide.
