Independence Now is a nonprofit organization created by and for people with disabilities. We are a resource and advocacy center that promotes independent living and equal access for people with all types of disabilities.
Independence Now assists residents of Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties to use community services and resources that will enhance their independence.
Our Mission is to facilitate independent thought and action by people with disabilities. We promote the principle that each person has value. To this end, we provide the tools for individuals to develop and discover their power to control their interactions with the environment, their families and their communities.
