Description

The Independence HIstorical Museum is a non-profit organization, organized in 1882, to preserve the history of Independence, Kansas and Montgomery County, Kansas. Our collection is housed in a former post office building, there are three floors of exhibits.

Due to the loss of serveral large corporations, (we are the home of Sinclair Oil Company, who became ARCO and moved to Houston, Texas) our funding has been reduced.
