Imani House, Inc. (IHI) is a Brooklyn, NY 501(C) (3) nonprofit, founded in 1990. IMANI means Faith, and all of our activities respond to our belief that every person can succeed if only they have access to the appropriate information, skills and opportunity.
IHI’s mission is to support the creation of viable neighborhoods where residents are decision makers, who engage in positive community building activities, and take responsibility for the improvement of their lives and surroundings.
Our free programs include: Employment and Career Development (ECD) ; Youth Development after-school projects in two public schools; a Food Pantry and an Information and Referral services. Each year we directly serve over a 1,500 people who access our programs and over 4,000 people indirectly who receive information or referrals
