Description
The "I Have a Dream" Foundation has made a long term commitment to some of Fort Worth’s most at risk students by providing them with the tools necessary to graduate from high school and acquire the skills necessary to enter the work force.
The Fort Worth organization ,an affiliate of the national organization based in New York, launched the program by "adopting" it's first class in 1988. The program has worked with more than 500 economically disadvantaged children identified in elementary and middle school by offering them the guidance not otherwise available to them. The Foundation is striving to break the poverty cycle one child at a time through academic enrichment, mentoring and tutoring while also offering scholarship assistance for higher education.
