In 1993 the Hyde Park Cooperative Charitable Foundation was established within Section 501(c)(3) non profit tax exempt status of the Internal Revenue Service Code. This Foundation was established as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hyde Park Cooperative Bank.
The structure of the Foundation accomplishes two important purposes. First to promote contributions through the use of the Foundation’s tax-deductible provision and second to provide for a separate entity, which can focus on raising and distributing funds back to the community.
Since 1993, the Foundation contributed more than $75,000 to Hyde Park and surrounding communities for charitable, civic, educational and social projects, such as the Hyde Park YMCA, Hyde Park Community Center, Hyde Park Food Pantry, and many youth sports leagues, just to name a few.
