The Hurley Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency which raises funds and coordinates volunteers for Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. Due to its comprehensive range of specialty pediatric services, Hurley is a member of the Children's Miracle Network. Established in 1908, Hurley Medical Center provides regional services including our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Level I Trauma Center, and Burn Unit to residents of Genesee, Lapeer and Shiawassee Counties and the surrounding area. Hurley Medical Center is a public hospital and safety net provider which is not supported by city tax revenues. The hospital provides over 66% of this region's uncompensated health care to residents with little or no insurance at an estimated cost of over $30 million a year.
