Who and What is the Human Rights Awareness Tour (HRAT)?
The HRAT is a group of traveling student organizers, non-governmental organizations, speakers, filmmakers, bands, photographers, journalists, artists, poets, models, and performers who have united in an effort to promote Human Rights, Environmental Sustainability, and Fair Trade practices. The HRAT will be stopping at universities, music festivals, and venues across the country to organize a fun, exciting, and educational week long series of events to create a positive environment for students and others to learn about the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, current Human Rights violations around the globe, the organizations that are playing key roles in defending Human Rights, and how they can get involved in the Human Rights movement.
