Hugs for Puppies is a grassroots animal rights organization based in the Philadelphia area. We campaign for animal rights through both action and outreach, believing that many steps must be taken to create a society where animals are treated humanely and their rights to be healthy, happy and free are respected by all. Intelligent campaigning, professionalism, courage in the face of intimidation, creativity, and constant action on behalf of animals are what we strive for.

Whether it's effective vegan outreach on the streets of Philadelphia; humane education about factory farming in area schools; hard-hitting campaigns against animal testing; undercover investigations of animal cruelty; or speaking out for animals in the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Wall Street Journal, ABC National News, or dozens of other media outlets, Hugs for Puppies is one of the hardest working grassroots groups in the country.
