Organizational Purpose - It is HOBY’s belief that the world’s greatest resource is it youth. HOBY’s format is simple – bring together
a select group of high school sophomores with demonstrated leadership potential to interact with distinguished leaders in business, education, government, community, and the professions. The give-and-take, question-and-answer format of each seminar panel allows these students a chance to “pick the brains” of today’s leaders. Through annual leadership development seminars at the state and
international levels, these tenth graders get a realistic look at what makes their countries and the world tick, thus better enabling them to make sound judgments that will affect our world as they grow into their future leadership roles.
