Description
Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati Academic Health Center, is the only blood center for the greater Cincinnati area.
Serving a 17-county area in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, Hoxworth collects, tests, processes and distributes blood and blood components to 31 hospitals and medical centers.
Hoxworth needs to collect blood from 350 volunteer blood donors and 40 volunteer platelet donors each day to keep up with the needs of tristate patients.
Hoxworth's purpose is to enhance the well-being of patients in our service area by assuring a reliable and economical supply of the safest possible blood.
