Description
The House of Peace & Education, Inc. (HOPE) is a neighborhood and regional center whose mission is to counteract violence through education, mentoring, leadership training, spiritual values and empowering relationships. Its programs include individualized job-training for low-income women, academically and socio-behaviorally based afterschool and summer programming for children in Grades 2-12, on-site group mentoring for children in Grades K-2, and parenting education and support. The organization is a separately incorporated 501 (c) (3) organization with an interfaith spirit. It was opened in July 1996.
