Description

A home away from home for families of patients in the hospitals in the Richmond, VA area for extended periods. Also for patients who come in from out of town for doctor visits who need to stay overnight. They have a fully cupplied kitchen and pantry so that persons staying there are able to eat there free of charge. You cook your own meals. There are 5 separate cooking areas in the kitchen.
The stay is free but if possible they ask that the person staying donate $10.00 per night if they can afford it.
My husband and my sisters alternated staying there while I was recooperating from a liver transplant in 2002 for six weeks. My husband and I have also stayed there when we have had to come to MCV in Richmond for an early appointment with the doctor and we travel at least two hours each way.
