Description
Healthy babies…medically fragile newborns…preschoolers…grade-school kids…teenagers. Hundreds of children right here in El Paso County are in foster care at any given time due to family abuse and neglect. They need a stable and nurturing foster family to live with until it’s safe to go home again, or—when that safety just isn’t possible—they need caring people to give them a “forever home” through adoption.
Hope & Home—a Christian, nonprofit foster care/adoption agency founded 14 years ago—recruits, specially trains and intensely supports families who have extra space and abundant love, and who want to show these children that despite all they have been through, they are as deserving of a good life as any other kid out there.
To date, Hope & Home has made possible close to 200 adoptions and provided care to more than 1,700 children in “the system.” We are the recognized leader in foster care for the largest county in Colorado, with a reputation for having transformed foster-care services through a unique combination of community engagement, innovative programs, and model that emphasizes inclusion.
