The Honolulu Academy of Arts is an encyclopedic art museum with a clearly articulated educational mission, situated in the Pacific at the crossroads of East and West. The Academy is at the center of this exciting and stimulating interchange, and provides, through works of art, a window into the worldviews and aspirations of the myriad cultures that co-exist in Hawaii and beyond.
The Honolulu Academy of Arts is dedicated to the collection, preservation, interpretation, and teaching of the visual arts, and the presentation of exhibitions, films and videos, performing arts, and public programs specifically relevant to Hawaii's ethnically diverse community.
