Description
The Honey Project under the Minority E-Commerce Association (MECA) is a non-profit with 501 (c) (3) status. The Honey Project is founded on two principles: Youth Entrepeneurship in America and Poverty Alleviation. Headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 15 high-school students, who first completed an intensive 12-week Entrepreneurship training transitioned to run and operate every aspect of the company. The company imports Organic Honey from Western Africa, Agogo Ghana and is creating a market in the US. From total revenues of Honey sales, 50% is invested in the Honey Project and 50% is invested into Agogo, Ghana in the form of "Actual Investment Dollars" (AID). Currently, the company is in its fund raising stage and is looking to expand. Please feel free to contact us for additional information and details of our program.
