Description

Homes for Black Children, founded in 1969, is a community based family services, adoption, and foster care agency specializing in services to at risk children. We are specifically concerned with the over representation of children of color within the child welfare system, i.e., african american children are four times as likely to enter the child welare system and stay twice as long. We specialize in services which support families in creating safe and loving homes in which children can have optimum life opportunities.
