Description
HomeFront coordinates thousands of volunteers who assist our staff by providing nightly emergency shelter, transitional and permanent service-enriched housing to over 375 people, mostly children. Our holistic services include: case management, ongoing support, food, clothing and household items. In addition we provide affordable housing searches, job placement and readiness skills. Children’s programs include preschools, summer camps, and daily after-school tutoring and activities. Annually, we help over 6,200 families toward self-sufficiency.
We train volunteers to work with families who are either homeless or at high risk of becoming so. We provide extensive hands-on assistance enabling our families to find and keep a home, and pay their bills.
HomeFront takes advantage of all available community resources. Volunteers from a wide range of professions donate time, skills and invaluable links to goods and services.
