Description
Honduras Outreach Medical Brigada Relief Effort (HOMBRE) is a collaborative effort among health professionals, medical students, and local communities to provide medical relief and healthcare education to thousands of Hondurans. Since 2000, medical students from the Medical College of Virginia organized a volunteer medical mission trip to Honduras to provide medical care to the communities which had not seen health care for years. Annually, the 501-K status nonprofit organization provides medical care to over 6000 Hondurans.
