Description
The specific purpose of this corporation is to: fundamentally serve the Hmong people in the United States and around the world as the Hmong Headquarter through education, training, networking/outreach, and advocacy; to promote good health, higher education, self-reliance and good citizenship in the Hmong communities; to advocate on policies that help improve civil liberties, human rights, and humanitarian assistance for the Hmong people domestically and internationally; to conduct research in the areas of education, politics, social, health care, safety and economics affecting the daily lives of the Hmong people; to strengthen the Hmong oral and written language in the United States and in other countries; to preserve the Hmong history, culture, handicrafts, performing arts, and heritage; to unite the Hmong people in the United States and around the world. The corportation shall be registered with the United Nations to be recognized as an NGO and to be a member of the United Nations Forum on Indigenous Issues.
