Description
We are the site of British North America's first paper mill built by the Rittenhouse family in 1690. Today we are a private non-profit organization open to the public for tours. We also host over 2000 school children each year who come to the site to make paper using the same tools and techniques as the Rittenhouse family and to learn about what life was like in our early industrial village. We are a National Historic Landmark District located in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park.
