The Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes as a tax exempt organization in accordance with the Internal Revenue Code. The Purposes
for which the Foundation is formed are to restore, preserve and maintain for public view and appreciation the Historic
Kappa House at 1708 S Street, NW in Washington, DC of the Dupont Circle Historic District as an historic Designated property under the DC Historic Landmark and Historic District Protection Act of 1978 and the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966: to promote appreciation of history and the special historical significance
of the Property, its architecture, and the persons, organizations and events associated with the property; to
preserve and promote appreciation of the historical significance of African Americans to the Nation, and to Washington; and to open and maintain the property as an historic site for Public viewing.
