Description
Historic Houston's is a 501 (c)(3) Texas non-profit dedicated to the preservation and conservation of Houston's architecture and architectural resources. Through Historic Houston's Relocation Program, historic homes are relocated and renovated to provide low, moderate and affordable housing. Historic Houston's Salvage Program reclaims the valuable, structural and non-structural historic building components, such as doors, windows, floors, interior shiplap, exterior siding as well as all light and plumbing fixtures, from houses slated for demolition in order to divert this material from entering Texas landfills. Historic Houston's Salvage Warehouse provides an outlet for the public to purchase this material and to encourage the reuse and recycling of a wide variety of materials.
