Description
HIP Housing (Human Investment Project) was founded in 1972, with a mission to invest in human potential by improving the housing and lives of people in our community. Today HIP Housing creates a place to call home for over 1,000 individuals each year in San Mateo County. We also provide information and referral services to 1,500 people annually.
The majority of individuals HIP Housing serves, 96%, are low-income or below. HIP Housing prevents homelessness and enables children, seniors, individuals and families to live independent, self-sufficient lives through its four programs: Self-Sufficiency, Home Sharing, Home Equity Conversion Counseling and Property Development.
