Hilton Head Island School for the Creative Arts, beaufort County Public School,
uses an Arts-Infused approach in teaching
students in grades one through five.

As an Arts in the Basic Curriculum program model site, we believe that "arts education complements learning in other disciplines and establishes a foundation for success in school and lifelong learning."

Hilton Head Island School for the Creative Arts is committed to the type of arts education reform outlined in this program.This program requires school administrators and teachers to:

v develop and implement standards-based arts curricula.

v implement arts integration in the curriculum through collaborative planning and professional development.

v increase the number of arts disciplines offered at a school.

v ensure all arts teachers are certified in their respective areas.
