Hearts Everywhere Reaching Out (H.E.R.O.) for Children is the only non-profit organization in the State of Georgia dedicated to improving the quality of life for children infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS through enriching programs, unforgettable experiences, and connections with the community. H.E.R.O. has created the State of Georgia’s only mentoring program for children with HIV/AIDS and has garnered the attention of Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue, and 2005 Miss Universe Natalie Glebova. Currently, H.E.R.O. has created the largest student run philanthropies supporting pediatric AIDS at both the University of Georgia and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
