Description
Non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that promotes music through performance and education in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Perform at least 4 concert per season - a holiday theme and a Young Artist Competition are 2 of the concert themes performed each year. These concert include community youth and/or adult choirs and opportunity for instrumental soloist to perform with the orchestra. The orchestra was formed in 1944-1945 in Independence, MO and was formerly known as the Independence Symphony Orchestra
