Description
HALA (Hemet Adult Literacy Advocates) is a non-profit group in support of Hemet Public Library Adult Literacy Services. Its purpose is to conduct fundraising events to provide financial support for the Literacy Program, to seek additional financial support through grants, endowments, bequests and gifts and to use such financial suppoort to provide materials, supplies, facilities and/or personnel for the Literacy Program. Also, to educate the public as to the problem and extend of illiteracy and the opportunities to alleviate the problem through the Literacy Program.
