Description

For 35 years Helping the Aging, Needy and Disabled Inc. has been providing quality, in-home personal attendant care to people who are aging or have disabilities as well as employment opportunities for those who need this income to help them maintain the stability of their families. Our mission is “Enhancing dignity and independence for the elderly and disabled by providing compassionate, quality care”. Helping the Aging, Needy and Disabled Inc. [H.A.N.D.] provides both direct and indirect health and human services to residents in Travis, Williamson and Hays Counties. H.A.N.D.'s core services are the provision of quality, in-home personal attendant care provided by screened, trained and monitored personal care assistants. We successfully manage contracts and grants with the Texas Department of Aging and Disabilities [TDADS], the City of Austin, Travis County, the Capital Area Council of Governments [CAPCOG] and Komen for the Cure Austin Affiliate.
